This years’ festival is at Dorchester Showground, postcode: DT2 7SD.
Yes, this event is a ticket only event. Accessible to all, carers can attend free of charge. Carers are not in need of a ticket, they just need to show carers evidence on the day for entry. If you would like to bring a car to the festival you will need a car parking ticket - these are non-refundable regardless of changes to the programme and weather.
Individual Saturday 4 May and Sunday 5 May day tickets are available to purchase separately and include all entertainment and shows. BUY SATURDAY TICKETS HERE > BUY SUNDAY TICKETS HERE > Weekend tickets are Saturday and Sunday inclusive. Camping should be added to weekend tickets. BUY WEEKEND & CAMPING TICKETS HERE > Car parking must be booked online. This cannot be paid for on the day.

All children under 3 years old are free.
Parking is available onsite but must be booked in advance. This cannot be paid for on the day.
Yes! Camping is available with as an addition to your weekend tickets. Motorhomes, Campervans and Caravans are all allowed at this event - SORRY, NO TENTS. No electric hook up. No overnight parking allowed in the car parks.
Campers are permitted to bring their own food and drink to be consumed in the camp site only. Food and drink are not allowed to be brought into the Festival Area. However, there will be plenty of local traders and caterers with a variety of food and drink available.
Unfortunately, only guide dogs are permitted onsite.
Toilets are available at the event including disabled toilets and urinals.
Fold up chairs, blankets etc are permitted onsite for your comfort.
Hot air balloons need very specific conditions to be able to fly which includes low wind. Many other factors also affect their ability to fly. The event will go ahead regardless of weather, so please do head down to enjoy the other activities at the event and support our traders.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred. Please ensure you purchase the correct day when booking your tickets online.
Yes. We are currently receiving applications for Local Craft Traders, Local Hot Food Traders and Local Cold Food Traders. (Not Alcohol, Ice Cream or Hot Drinks). Please email us for an application form.
We are committed to providing an enjoyable and safe experience when you visit Dorset Balloon Festival. When something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards.
If you have a complaint, please email us. We aim to respond to all complaints within 21 days from receiving them. We will not pass your details on to any other organisation.
